Cookies and storage
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) is a similar technology that lets a site keep information on your device. RevivalPost relies mainly on browser storage rather than cookies.
What we store
| Key | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
rev.profiles.v1 | localStorage | Profiles on this browser: name, display name, Revival Coin balance, progress and rewards | Until site data is cleared |
rev.activePlayer.v1 | localStorage | Which profile is logged in | Until you log out or clear site data |
rev.settings.v1 | localStorage | Preferences such as interval reminders | Until site data is cleared |
rev.view | localStorage | Whether you prefer gallery or list view on the Games page | Until site data is cleared |
rev.cookieNotice.v1 | localStorage | Remembers that you've seen the cookie notice | Until site data is cleared |
rev.session.v1 | sessionStorage | When this visit began and minutes played | Until the tab is closed |
All of these are needed for the site to work. None are used for advertising or to track you across other websites.
Third parties
Fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when they load. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary technical cookies for security or performance. The embedded games are served from our own domain and share the site's browser storage so they can use your Revival Coins.
Managing storage
You can view and delete cookies and site data in your browser settings — look for "Cookies and site data", "Site settings" or "Clear browsing data". Clearing data for revivalpost.com logs you out and permanently removes your profile, coins and progress on that browser. Blocking storage entirely may stop joining and rewards from working.
